Simply a rave track. Rave samples chopped and placed inside an Elektron Model:Samples. An experiment of playing a track live to a recording without trying to mess up! The model:samples only has 6 tracks to work with but less is more and this was such a fun experience!
However, this rave tribute goes even deeper than that. The vocal sample is borrowed from the documentary "Broken Rainbow". A documentary from 1985 which tells of the government enforced relocation of thousands of Navajos from Black Mesa in Arizona after the 1974 Navajo-Hopi Land Settlement Act. This forced relocation was all due to mineral mining. Valuable minerals were discovered on Navajo soil so these Navajo and Hopi were displaced and forced into trauma all in the name of money by the US government. This track of course honors their resiliency.
